I’m experimenting with MindManager. While the appearance is of things on a visual plane linked to other things, the experience is quite outlinish. I hit enter to create the next sister in a branch. Parents, children, annotation. Split, merge.
I enjoy the visual sense of it. I can see more, sometimes, spacially than through the normal collapse of outlines. Lots of interesting detail occurs at collapsed depths.
They have an Internet conferencing tool I have yet to play with. It appears to let users annotate each other’s files P2P, real time. The color, text and icon markups are quite clever.
MindManager has “publish to the web” (I think this is ftp of screenshot jpgs) and save to PowerPoint features.
Automation API for Windows developers.
Writing, it almost feels like part of the envelope “Radio Userland” occupies. Without the actual web site.
