Thanks very much for the hint. Actually, I had just tried this - probably from reading an earlier message of yours <g>. What I get in Maxthink is everything imported but in a flattened list that then has to be manually re-formatted to achieve the many levels of the original.
I’ve tried just about every permutation of labels and export formats I can
think of, but nothing provides an exactly correct import. I guess this is a
perennial input-output problem.
More comparisons last night between Maxthink and Grandview have convinced me that Maxthink’s much praised Bin Sort - whereby a list of “topics” (i.e. headlines and\or their subheadings) can be assigned to, and grouped under chosen “bins” (i.e. selected topics or headings) - can be achieved equally well in Grandview. This is done by assigning names to certain headlines and sending other headlines/subheads or “topics” to them.
The process is remarkably similar, so maybe I don’t need to convert my GV files to Maxthink after all…
I’d still like to know if it’s possible, though.
