I’m enjoying using Bonsai quite a bit.
Like BrainForest it has a PC and a Palm version. However, the Bonsai PC app is much less skeletal and I found it easier to use. Even more pleasing is that whereas BrainForest only allows you to transfer files between the Palm and the PC app, Bonsai has actually produced a conduit.
(In fairness, the conduit does not seem to attempt any real merging of the palm & PC versions of the files if both have changed. You could argue that the actual functionality of the Bonsai and BrainForest methods are equal.)
One thing that is really neat is that Bonsai has a fairly easy to use exporting system that allows you to create templates to export
your outlines in any format. It seems like it would be pretty easy to set it up to export OPML with a simple template. Then the outlines could be imported into Radio Userland and other frontier apps.
I don’t know, I find this cool.
