MindNode mind mapper reaches version 5

Hmm, perhaps you're thinking of another app. The current version 5 does not require a single central node -- and going back several years I can see numerous maps with multiple "main" nodes. Anyway,...

Tell us about your book
11/30/2017
No books, but I write approximately 150,000 words/year for clients (IT strategy, mainly). So that's sort of counts as a couple or three books per year for the past few decades. All planned out in ...

So, is ConnectedText really dead now?

Any developer always prefers to be addressed directly -- in their own forum or support pages. And it is polite. For a single individual the whole effort to create and support software is more than ...

The website is up. The forum is available. There's nothing posted on the site about going out of business. The software works.

A tiny, barely noticeable feature in Scrivener 3 that told me this was thoughtfully crafted software: on macOS the icon on Scrivener 3 files now show the author's name and name of the manuscript in t...

Some possibilities for Windows are (in my order of preference):
Southbeach Modeller (Windows-only)
Insight Maker (web based)

Any figure on a Curio map (they're called "idea spaces") can have text associated with it, which is added / edited in a "figure notes" panel. The figure notes panel is an always-on-top window so you...

TheBrain 9 reaches its beta phase
11/21/2017
TheBrain yesterday issued an update to v9 (b231) that re-introduces two-way sync with Google Calendars.
This feature has been on vacation since TheBrain 8 and it's good to see it come back.

It is also possible to "watch" a DEVONthink group (i.e., a folder) with a similar approach in 7.3.x. Be aware that the instructions for this in the release notes are a bit inaccurate.
